    Advocacy Training Conference with the National Hotline @ BP Center Anchorage

    The National Domestic Violence Hotline, in partnership with ANDVSA and the Office of Violence Against Women, will be joining us in Anchorage at the BP center on September 22-24, 2014 to host an advocacy training. This two and a half day advocacy training will cover topics like: Domestic Violence and Trauma/Crisis Intervention; domestic violence, children and custody; how to address challenging callers; safety planning; domestic violence and pregnancy; safety planning; working with people with disabilities; compassion fatigue and fostering resilience; sexual violence; technology safety and how to use technology to build stronger connections in Alaska. This training is intended for more experienced advocates at both our member and affiliate programs.
