DELTA Vision
Our vision is to be a catalyst for creating empowered, transformed individuals, partnerships, communities and societies committed to respectful collaborative processes that promote a lasting legacy of equality, peace and social justice.
What is the DELTA Project?
ANDVSA will be able to focus on domestic violence prevention through its participation in a new, exciting project called the DELTA program. We have been selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to participate in this new program, which will conduct a national survey of domestic violence prevention activities to establish baseline data, disseminate new prevention models, using Alaska and 13 other states as pilot projects, and evaluate the effectiveness of these models over the three year duration of the program. ANDVSA will be working cooperatively with the CDC and 13 other state domestic violence/sexual assault coalitions to develop domestic violence prevention protocols that can be applied at the community level and statewide. As part of the DELTA Program, ANDVSA will provide training, technical assistance and funding to community-based domestic violence councils or taskforces (CCRs) through Network programs. A CCR under this grant is an organized, geographically defined effort, representing diverse sectors of a local community, to address domestic violence/sexual assault and integrates collaboration and primary prevention strategies. The funding can be used to start a CCR within your community or enhance existing CCR efforts. Read our Press Release.
