Lead On, Aliy!
Everybody can make a difference.
ANDVSA has partnered with champion musher Aliy Zirkle and sponsor Matson to spread the message of respect throughout the state of Alaska! You can support her mission by donating to support education and violence prevention efforts in Alaskan communities.
In November 2016, Aliy joined ANDVSA staff and partners and youth from communities around the state at the 8th annual Lead On! for Peace and Equality Conference. Aliy was able to see the impact of the program first hand. “Kids in this program learn new skills in respect of self and others that they take back and use to make a difference in their communities. Changing attitudes can take generations; but if more kids could participate in Lead On!, we’d be well on our way to ending violence and abuse.”
Backed by sponsor Matson, Aliy is partnering with ANDVSA to support and expand our youth programming statewide, including rural villages along the Iditarod
In honor of Aliy’s commitment to helping combat domestic violence and sexual assault, all donations made to ANDVSA during the months of March, April and May will go towards helping more youth in rural villages and across Alaska participate in Lead On!
Everyone can get involved in ending violence in Alaska. Join Aliy in supporting Lead On and healthy Alaskan Communities. Donate to ANDVSA today.
You can also help cheer Aliy on as she travels through the state spreading her message!
