Preventing Violence and Promoting Respect in Alaska
We learn respect from many places and people in our lives, therefore it takes many people working together to model, teach, and create communities that promote respect in relationships. By building communities of respect together we can stop violence before it ever starts. The full Pathways to Prevent Domestic Violence: A Plan for Alaska 2010 – 2016 can be viewed by clicking the photo on the left. By clicking on the photo on the right, you can access updates to this plan.
On the prevention pages you will be able to find out more about Alaska’s Primary Prevention Efforts efforts, Pathways to Prevention Statewide Steering Committee, Statewide Campaigns, and what you can do to get involved. You will also find links to the prevention efforts of men, women, youth, professionals, domestic violence and sexual assault programs, parents, and other community members.
