Preventing Violence and Promoting Respect in Alaska

We learn respect from many places and people in our lives, therefore it takes many people working together to model, teach, and create communities that promote respect in relationships. By building communities of respect together we can stop violence before it ever starts. Find out more about Alaska’s primary prevention efforts and what you can do to get involved. ANDVSA and the Pathways Statewide Steering Committee works to coordinate prevention efforts and support locally and statewide prevention through training, local and statewide planning facilitation, public education and social norm campaign development, information sharing, youth engagement and leadership development, prevention policy advocacy, and prevention strategy capacity building.
